So the interview was for a fieldwork job as a geophysics offsider. They were happy for me to work but I wasn't convinced about the roster or the pay. The roster was four weeks on two weeks off which is a LONG time to be out in the bush for. Too long I think. Especially as they were only offering $225 a day. I'm hoping for something around $300 a day really.

If I change my mind they have work for me after christmas but I also have at least two or three other contacts that might be able to offer me better work after christmas anyway so I doubt I'll take it.

I got paid yesterday and I am already planning to spend some of it on an open water scuba diving course. It's four days and I start on thursday. If I like it (and I think I probably will) I might do the advanced scuba course as well. After that you can specialise in all sorts of things such as wreck or nitrox diving.They're situated in Fremantle so I'll just stay in a hostel there while I'm doing it. Maybe I'll get a part time bar job while I'm there as well. Should be pretty good fun.
